The  article  discusses  the  lexical  verbal  manipulation techniques used in campaign speeches of former Prime Minister of  Great  Britain  David  Cameron.  The  author  considers a representative  model  of  speech  (its  collective  and  individual aspects), as well as the "speech portrait" of the politician.

The  author substantiates a viewpoint that implies that linguistic paradigm of modern language studies treats texts as a result  of  individual creative processes, through which the surrounding world is being perceived and reflected.

The present study also aims to describe the national-cultural image of D. Cameron, which manifests itself in certain philosophical principles, priorities and the corresponding actions reflected in the typical verbal messages.

Based on this, the author argues that the language of public speeches of D. Cameron is very expressive, full of persuasiveness, and the complex of linguistic and paralinguistic techniques helps him achieve the desired results.
