The article researches the issue of teaching foreign language writing skills to students of non-linguistic universities under competence-communicative approach. The authors analyze the notion of communication, its characteristic features and necessary conditions for its feasibility. The article specifies the differences between writing and writing skills, syllabus of writing and stages of developing writing skills.
