PURPOSES OF METAPHORIC PRESENTATION OF INFORMATION IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE

In order to understand purposes of metaphoric presentation of information in politics’ public speeches (one part or the USA political discourse) Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s speeches are analyzed in the article. After the analysis an author makes a conclusion that due to metaphors orators can grade the acutance of the discussed issues and create unreal poetic world view in listeners’ minds.
