ABOUT THE IMAGE OF THE AUTHOR IN GERMAN JOURNALISM (ON THE MATERIAL OF ECONOMIC TEXTS)

The article deals with the reflection of the image of the author in the texts of journalism and press style. The object of the research is multi-genre texts of journalism and press style, written by well-known economists, politicians, authors of books on economics. The subject of the research is the peculiarities of the language organization of texts, caused by such an extralinguistic factor as the image of the author. In work the descriptive method is used mainly. The relevance of this topic is determined by the value of the texts written by scientists - heads of institutions for the study of economic problems, analysts, professors who teach economic disciplines.

The syntactic level of texts is characterized by the presence of complex sentences, consisting of several subordinate, infinitive 
constructions, introductory sentences, which undoubtedly bears the imprint of the style of scientific speech, testifies to the author's professional affiliation. 

For the lexical level, the use of foreign words and borrowings, mainly from English, but also from Romance languages and from Latin, is typical. An important feature of the texts of the authors of this rank is metaphorical, to which they resort to give greater expressiveness to their statements.
