The article analyzes the problems of communication, diplomatic discourse, the discourse of international organizations (in particular, the UN). Using the example of the analysis of the speeches of the heads of delegations of Argentina, Uruguay and Peru, seven speech tactics of the linguopragmatic strategy of persistence were identified, which, using the method of component analysis, were classified into lexemes with a positive and negative component of self-presentation. The results of the study indicate the presence of a certain linguopragmatic strategy, in particular, a strategy of persistence, consisting of specific rhetorical tactics. The revealed tactics characterize the speaker's chosen speech strategy. Further development of this topic may be accompanied by an analysis of changes in the linguistic and pragmatic strategy of the leaders of specific countries at the UN General Assembly.
