The article deals with trends in modern foreign language education, the importance of sociocultural competence development for a future professional has been proved. The concept of “sociocultural competence” has been defined concretely; its structure has been specified. Multimedia course book “English in Sociocultural Aspect” has been described, the criteria of its efficiency have been revealed.
