SOME ASPECTS OF THE UNIVERSAL CONCEPTS “LIFE” AND “DEATH” IN THE NOVEL “THE HOURS” BY MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM

In the article one of the aspects of the universal concepts “Life” and “Death” is studied – the conceptual metaphor “Life is ordinariness, Death is talent”. The article shows that the concept “Life” possesses negative connotations, while the connotations connected with the concept “Death” are mainly positive.
