The object of this study is the English phraseology of radio traffic, the discourse of which we have considered in the theoretical part of the work. During the analysis of the material, the following features, which affect the effectiveness of communication, were identified: the speed of information transmission, the brevity and accuracy of the description of the problem, the degree of understanding of the commands, the level of proficiency in aviation English, the presence of an accent, the technical features of the radio equipment.

The material of the practical research was the documentary series "Air crash investigation", which contains examples of the use of aviation English, since it is based on official documents of aviation industry enterprises (such as ICAO, National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration), cockpit voice recordings, as well as eyewitness accounts.
