The article studies the learner’s dictionary as a special type of lexicographic work to determine the optimal componential content of a dictionary entry of a linguoculturological dictionary of socio-political phraseological euphemisms. The article also provides a detailed description of related problems analyzed drawing on the example of a dictionary compiled by the authors. The article offers interpretations of relevant terms, including “socio-political euphemism”, “stable word complexes”, “collocation” and “phraseological euphemism”. Study material comprised 947 units of socio-political euphemisms retrieved from explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language. Study results have shown that working on a learning dictionary of euphemisms involves addressing issues such as the amount of language material, its representation, illustrative contexts, and the need for a linguocultural commentary. The article proposes solutions to some of the issues from this list. The authors conclude that it is expedient to divide the content of the educational linguoculturological dictionary into three parts: phraseological euphemisms, euphemisms-collocations and euphemisms-stamps. At the same time, a dictionary entry of the dictionary of phraseological euphemisms of the Russian language should contain components divided into six zones.
